How do we start?

The easiest way to get a price from us is to get in contact with us and then to send some photos of the area that you are looking to cover, and the approximate dimensions. The photos will need to include where the awning is most likely to be mounted so that I can confirm that there is nothing in the way. From there I can give you a very close, if not exact price. If you then choose to proceed, I will plan an appointment with you where I can come out and take the exact measurements, you can choose a fabric from the sample book, I will draw up the order, and collect the deposit all in one trip.

How do we clean the awning?

How much wind can my retractable awning take?

In most conditions, 10 – 15 mph. It depends a lot on the direction of the wind. If the wind is blowing across the awning sideways then it can take more than that without any issue. The problem is when the wind blows directly against the house trying to lift or push down on the awning. I tell customers that the best plan is always to use caution. The awning has the surface area of a boat sail. If the wind can push a boat across a lake at 50mph, what will it do to your house? There is also an optional wind sensor that can be added that will roll the awning in automatically.

How do I change the Battery in my remote?

The remote should have a slide off back cover. There may be a screw securing the cover just so that it does not come off by accident. Once the cover is off its just a matter of removing the old battery and installing the new one. The other most common question is where can you get the battery? I recommend getting them on amazon. Its easier than finding a store with them sometimes. To prevent issues, you should keep a spare battery on hand, or pre-emptively change the battery every few years. You don’t want to be caught with a dead battery, with the awning out, and a storm coming.
